Our mission
To show people the love of Jesus Christ through service within the Church and community, to grow disciples through Bible study and godly mentoring, and to be a family that worships God together and cares for one another.
About
We are a non-denominational family of believers in Lolo, Montana. This is a place where you can feel comfortable exploring spiritual questions at your own pace, and where everything starts and ends with Jesus.
To show people the love of Jesus Christ through service within the Church and community, to grow disciples through Bible study and godly mentoring, and to be a family that worships God together and cares for one another.
To see people in the Lolo community and greater Bitterroot Valley receive the gift of salvation which is freely given by Jesus Christ.
Our priorities are to love God, serve people, and become a family of believers. Whether you are a Christ follower, coming back to faith after a long absence, or seeking to discover what following Christ is all about, you will find a welcoming and open environment and a fresh expression of God's love.
We don't have a dogma or doctrine that changes based on what culture tells us to believe. We believe the Bible is truth, that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the only way to the Father, and that living a Christ-honoring life is simply the best way to live.
Our Tenets of Faith, each with a concise summary and the Scripture behind it.

Head Pastor & Elder
Chuck has served as Lead Pastor of Cornerstone Church since October 2015. His passion is to see souls saved and to see Scripture come alive and be proven relevant in people's lives today.
Pastor Chuck has a heart for outreach and serving others. As a result, Cornerstone Church has partnered with many local and international ministries: Hope Rescue Mission, Teen Challenge, CareNet, My360Project, and many churches in the region that provide opportunities to serve and glorify Jesus Christ. Pastor Chuck preaches to churches in Pakistan and has led mission teams to Mexico with the My360Project. He holds strongly to the fact that the Bible calls us to be doers of the word and not just hearers — that we are to be the hands and feet of Jesus to a lost and dying world.
Pastor Chuck has been married to his beautiful wife, Tara, for 22 years, and they have 5 children. He loves the beauty of Montana and marvels at God's creation on a daily basis — how could you not? He enjoys fishing, hunting, camping, dinner with friends, and general fellowship with his brothers and sisters in Christ.
If you do not have a church that you call home, Pastor Chuck invites you to join us, get to know us, and consider becoming a part of our church family. "Loving God. Serving People. Becoming Family." is who we are.
Elder
Nick, his wife Joy, their son Gustav, and daughter Miranda welcome you to join us here at Cornerstone.
Nick met his wife Joy while he was in college. Both had known Jesus since their childhood, but they had drifted away. They were married after he graduated, and a few years later they started attending Cornerstone.
Nick had a revelation that his walk was not as intentional nor as deep as it should be. He dug into the word and became active in the church — and he has been active ever since.
Elder
Mark has served Cornerstone as an elder for approximately 20 years. His heart is to give himself to the service of his church family.
Mark grew up in Minnesota, where he met his wife, Helena. They have three grown children and five grandchildren. Mark gave his life to Jesus Christ in 1981, which started a lifetime of service within the local church, wherever that church happens to be.
In 1997, through God's clear direction, the family moved to Missoula, and several years later came to Cornerstone Church. Over the years Mark has served as trustee, deacon, in children's church programs, adult education, bookkeeping, and as an elder in this church for approximately 20 years. Mark's heart is to give himself to the service of his church family.
Worship Pastor & Elder
Rich has served on the worship team at Cornerstone since 2023 and has served as an elder since 2025. He stepped into the role of Worship Pastor in 2026. His desire is to foster growth in the church body through corporate worship, personal relationships and the study of God's Word.
Rich grew up in a Christian home and the church and has been involved in worship ministry since 16 years of age. He met his wife, Laura, at Multnomah Bible College in Portland, Oregon, and they have been married since 2013. They have two daughters. Besides his work at Cornerstone, Rich also does construction work and owns a small contracting company based out of Lolo, MT.
Rich has a heart for church ministry, and desires that Cornerstone be a place that everyone who comes feels welcome and has an opportunity to grow in their faith and knowledge of God.
Youth Ministry Leaders
John and Danielle serve as leaders of The Rock youth group and would love to have your 6th–12th grader(s) join them.
Danielle grew up in a large Christian home with nine siblings and with parents who taught the truth of the Bible and helped her to grow in her faith as she grew in life. She accepted the Lord as her Savior when she was six years old, though her relationship with God didn't really grow or develop until she was in her teen years. There were many challenges and harder times during those years and parts of Danielle's adulthood, but God is always faithful and has always drawn her back to Him. His grace and forgiveness is endless and such an amazing gift.
Danielle has served in the church in various ways in the past and is thankful and excited to be walking alongside her husband, John, as they serve together as Youth Leaders at Cornerstone. In her free time, Danielle enjoys doing things outside with John and their dog, Luxor — camping, fishing, hunting, and hiking. Her favorite verses are Psalm 91:1-2.
John grew up in a strong Christian home and learned to love Jesus as a child. In his teen years his parents went through a very tumultuous divorce, and he turned away from the Lord, struggling with bitterness and unforgiveness throughout his college years. During this time John married his gem of a wife, and that ignited a season of growing. God met them where they were and drew John back to His heart. The man John is today is only because of the love of God and His blessings in Danielle.
John's prayer is that he can meet the youth of today where they are and show them the love that God has given to him so freely. Cornerstone is his family and the doors are always open! His favorite verse is Psalm 46:10-11.
