Belonging
Membership
You do not need to be a member to belong here, to serve, or to be cared for. Membership is for people who already call Cornerstone home and want to say so.
What membership means here
Membership is a commitment to this particular church family rather than to church in general — to worship with these people, to be known by them, to serve alongside them, and to be under the care and correction of the elders God has given this church.
Why someone might pursue it
Most people come to it the same way: they have been here a while, this has quietly become their church, and they want that to be spoken out loud rather than assumed. Membership also opens the door to leading and teaching, since those roles carry responsibility for what other people are taught.
What we ask you to agree with
Our 22 Tenets of Faith are the shared ground. Agreement with them is what opens up opportunities to step in and serve, from ministry leadership to leading Bible studies and teaching. Read them first — they are short, and they say plainly what this church holds to.
Who to talk to
Our elders are the people to ask. They can tell you what membership involves at Cornerstone, whether there is a class or a conversation, and what the next step looks like for you. You will find them here every Sunday, and you are welcome to email any of them.
How to begin
Talk to any elder after a Sunday service, or call the church message line and say you would like to talk about membership. Someone will get back to you and set up a time.
